“To Eat is to Love” – Ben’s by BIG, Suria KLCC

I personally love Ben’s, like, a lot.

I love its ambience, its food, its tagline, “Building Relationships Through Food.” Like, seriously? Who doesn’t love a place where you can sit comfortably in a snug velvet chair eating affordable range of food? I have to admit that I’ve fallen in love with this place since the very first time I stepped in.

If you visit Suria KLCC often, you might be familiar with it already. Located at the first floor next to Godiva, it doesn’t look big from outside but it’s quite spacious inside. Trust me, if you’re looking for a cozy place to kill the time while drinking your favorite Flat White and munching your favorite dessert, you’re definitely gonna love Ben’s.

I love Ben’s, not merely because they cook great food, but they have what other restaurants don’t.

It sells ambience that couldn’t be found easily in any other places. You know, the surroundings, cozy couches and soothing music, not every restaurant can provide the same. In fact, looking at their menu, their food isn’t as expensive as others’. Ben’s is a perfect example of a restaurant which doesn’t only sell food, but also experience and emotional attachments.

Take a look at one of their promotional tools. The moment I picked it from the light green box, I feel nothing but guilt. LOL.

Ben’s has got an A from me!

This restaurant has positioned its brand so strongly. Their tagline, “Building Relationships Through Food” goes in harmony with their promotional tools. They provide a stack of cards with conversation starters at the back of each card. My husband and I enjoyed it so much, we immediately ignored all pings, texts and notifications on our phones. How awesome is it?

Okay, moving on to their food.

Here’s Pesto Spaghettini with Chargrilled Chicken (MYR 29++) I don’t usually order Pesto, but this one is definitely an exception.

I don’t like Pesto because of the smell from the Basil, but Ben’s Pesto is different. The sauce has creamy taste, not so strong with the Basil, and that what made it so yummy (plus the slices of Parmesan Cheese). The chargrilled Chicken is crispy but tender in the inside. I believe it has been marinated, judging from the taste, so delicious.

Beef Bolognese Spaghettini (MYR 25++)

The last time I ate Bolognese was years ago, ages, kind of forget how it tasted, so I decided to order Beef Bolognese Spaghettini.

Just look at the picture, a bowl of goodness, loads of beef toppings on al-dente spaghettini with thick slices of Parmigiano. It’s so so good. The sauce is seasoned perfectly and mixed with the delicious ground beef. The portion might look small in the picture, but it’s actually plenty. I could hardly finish it all.

For drinks, they have wine, beers, cocktails, coffee, tea and etc. Try their Mojito or Vanilla Milkshake (if you’re a milk fan like my husband, you’ll love it) LOL. They have other main courses, western, Italian and even local dishes.

Check out their website here for more information on their menu and prices.

So, looking for a place to eat this weekend? Why not try Ben’s and let me know what you think? 🙂
